Senior Data Engineer- Cognite

Location: 100% Remote

Start: Late October 2026

Duration: 6 months initially, with possible extension

Role Overview

We are looking for a strong Data Engineer with hands-on Cognite experience to support and enhance an existing Cognite workplace. The consultant will work on improving the current platform, refining existing capabilities, updating and optimizing data models, and supporting data ingestion.

Key Responsibilities

- Support and enhance an existing Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) environment.
- Update, refine, and improve data models within Cognite.
- Build and optimize data ingestion processes.
- Support platform improvements and refinement of existing features.
- Work with structured and connected data using knowledge graph concepts .
- Write and optimize SQL for data engineering and modeling requirements.




- Troubleshoot and improve existing data engineering components within the Cognite platform.

Required Experience

- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- 2+ years of hands-on Cognite experience , preferably Cognite Data Fusion.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Strong data modeling experience, including CDF data modeling.
- Experience with knowledge graphs / graph-based data relationships .
- Strong experience with data ingestion and integration .
- Experience supporting and improving an existing production data platform.

Ideal Profile A hands-on senior Data Engineer who understands both traditional data engineering and Cognite, and can quickly assess an existing environment, improve the data model and ingestion processes, and make practical improvements to the platform.
