Academic Course Counselor / Admission Counselor

PGC Jaipur is looking for an active, confident and result-oriented Academic Course Counselor who can counsel prospective students, understand their career goals and guide them toward the right course.

The candidate should have a strong combination of student counseling and sales skills. We are looking for someone who is proactive, comfortable speaking with students and parents, and capable of converting genuine enquiries into admissions without relying only on aggressive selling.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students regarding courses, career options and learning paths.
- Understand each student's academic background, interests and career goals before recommending a course.
- Handle enquiries received through calls, WhatsApp, website leads, walk-ins and other channels.
- Follow up with prospective students systematically and convert qualified leads into admissions.
- Conduct face-to-face, telephonic and online counseling sessions.
- Explain course curriculum, duration, fees, career options, training methodology and admission process.
- Counsel parents wherever required and address their questions confidently.
- Maintain proper records of leads, follow-ups and admission status in the CRM.
- Follow up with old and pending leads instead of depending only on fresh enquiries.
- Coordinate with trainers and the academic team when students require course-specific guidance.
- Participate in admission campaigns, seminars, workshops, open houses and student events.
- Work towards monthly admission and revenue targets.




- Maintain professional follow-up without excessive calling or pressure selling.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

- Prior experience in academic counseling, admission counseling, education sales or inside sales.
- Good academic background with graduation preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A confident and go-getter personality.
- Good sales and negotiation ability.
- Ability to understand student requirements rather than simply pitching the same course to everyone.
- Strong follow-up and lead-conversion skills.
- Comfort working with admission targets and performance goals.
- Basic knowledge of CRM, WhatsApp, email and common office applications.
- Positive spoken English and Hindi.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with previous experience in an education institute, training institute, EdTech company, college, university or professional course institute will be preferred.

Experience in counseling students for courses related to Design, Animation, VFX, Digital Marketing, IT, Data, AI or other career-oriented programs will be an added advantage.

What We Expect

This position requires more than answering admission enquiries. The counselor should be able to take ownership of a lead from the first conversation through admission.

We need someone who is energetic, disciplined with follow-ups, comfortable with targets and genuinely good at communicating with students and parents.

Work Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan – In Office
