Company Overview

Tech Orbit Solutions is a fast-growing SAP and Digital Transformation consulting organization focused on delivering business value through SAP-led transformation programs across multiple industries and geographies. We are building a world-class SAP consulting practice spanning GROW with SAP, RISE with SAP, Business Technology Platform (BTP), Digital Transformation, Cloud ERP, Application Management Services (AMS), and Business Consulting services.

- We are seeking a SAP FICO Architect with 12-15 years of experience, including deep BFSI/NBFC exposure, to own the end-to-end financial solution architecture for BFSI SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition transformation. Working onsite with BFSI Finance, Treasury, Tax, Risk and IT leadership, the Architect will convert regulatory and business requirements into a scalable, compliant, clean-core design across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Profitability, Treasury and Group Reporting, and will integrate SAP Finance with BFSI loan management, payments and data platforms.
- This is a hands-on architecture and leadership role. The Architect is the design authority for finance, accountable for solution integrity, fit-to-standard decisions, and quality of delivery, while mentoring functional consultants and acting as the trusted advisor to BFSI finance leadership.
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Finance Solution Architecture & Design Authority
- Define the target-state finance architecture on SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, including enterprise structure (company codes, ledgers, profit centers, segments), Universal Journal design, and the boundary between SAP and surrounding systems.
- Lead fit-to-standard workshops aligned to SAP Activate; make and document design decisions on standard scope, in-app (key-user) extensibility, and side-by-side extensions on BTP, protecting the clean core.
- Own the finance solution blueprint, architecture decision records, and functional design documents; chair the finance design authority and manage cross-module dependencies (Finance, Procurement, HR, Treasury, Tax).
- Assess scope gaps against Public Cloud constraints early and recommend compliant alternatives, including partner solutions or BTP-based extensions.
- 2. NBFC Accounting & Lending Finance Architecture
- Architect the integration of the loan management / core lending platform with SAP GL, defining the accounting event model, summarized vs. detailed posting strategy, chart of accounts mapping, and reconciliation controls between the lending sub-ledger and SAP.
- Design accounting for the loan lifecycle: origination, disbursement, EMI and interest accrual, effective interest rate (EIR) accounting, fee and DSA/channel commission deferral and amortization, prepayment, foreclosure, restructuring, and write-off.
- Design Ind AS 109 treatment including asset classification and staging, expected credit loss (ECL) provisioning, NPA/Stage 3 income handling, and regulatory vs. Ind AS provision comparison; evaluate fit of SAP's financial products sub-ledger and ECL capabilities against BFSI existing models and confirm availability in the Public Cloud edition.
- Design accounting for co-lending, direct assignment and securitization, borrowings (term loans, NCDs, commercial paper, external commercial borrowings), derivatives and hedge accounting, and fixed deposit liabilities in coordination with Treasury.
- Design Ind AS 116 lease accounting and Ind AS 115 revenue treatment where applicable.
- 3. Statutory, Regulatory & Tax Compliance
- Design parallel ledgers and reporting for Ind AS, Companies Act (Schedule III, Division III) and RBI regulatory requirements, including audit trail and disclosure support.
- Architect India localization for GST (including input tax credit restrictions applicable to financial services, reverse charge, e-invoicing, GSTR reconciliation), TDS/TCS, and withholding tax on vendor and interest payments.
- Ensure the design supports RBI returns, internal financial controls (IFC/ICFR), segregation of duties, and statutory and internal audit requirements.
- 4. Controlling, Profitability & Management Reporting
- Design cost center,

internal order and allocation structures for branch, channel, product and shared-service cost visibility.
- Architect profitability analysis (margin analysis in Public Cloud) by product, segment, channel, geography and customer cohort, including funds transfer pricing, cost of funds allocation, credit cost and cost-to-income analytics.
- Define profit center and segment reporting design supporting business-line P&L; and balance sheet views.
- 5. Treasury, Cash, Payments & Bank Connectivity
- Design cash and liquidity management, bank account management, bank statement processing and automated bank reconciliation for very high statement volumes.
- Architect payment and collection integration (bank host-to-host, payment aggregators, NACH/e-mandate, UPI and virtual account based collections) and the corresponding posting and reconciliation flows.
- investments, hedging, and interest rate and liquidity exposure with regulatory ALM reporting needs.

6. Financial Close, Consolidation & Group Reporting

- Design a fast, controlled close using advanced financial closing capabilities, automated accruals and provisions, and a structured reconciliation framework.
- Architect intercompany processes and group consolidation (SAP Group Reporting) and its subsidiaries, including Ind AS consolidated financial statements.
- Design management and statutory reporting using embedded analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud and, where needed, integration with BFSI enterprise data platform.

7. Integration, Data Migration & Performance at Scale

- Define the integration architecture with SAP Integration Suite (BTP) and APIs, event and messaging platforms, covering volumes, error handling, idempotency, monitoring and reconciliation.
- Design data volume and performance strategy for the Universal Journal, including aggregation strategy, data retention and archiving.
- Lead finance data migration: opening balances, open items, assets, and master data governance (chart of accounts, customer, vendor, cost objects) with cutover and reconciliation strategy.

8. Testing, Cutover & Hypercare

- Define end-to-end test strategy including integration, volume, reconciliation, regression, UAT and parallel-run approaches, with traceability from regulatory requirement to test case.
- Lead finance cutover planning, mock runs, go-live readiness and hyper care, including the first period-end and statutory close on the new platform.

9. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to FICO, tax, treasury and integration consultants; review deliverables for quality and design consistency.
