Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Archiving Consultant with strong expertise in Supply Chain processes and SAP Data Volume Management (DVM). The candidate will be responsible for analyzing SAP data growth, designing and implementing data archiving strategies, optimizing system performance, and ensuring compliance with data retention requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage SAP Data Archiving and Data Volume Management strategies across Supply Chain modules.
- Analyze SAP data growth, database volume, aging data, and system performance to identify archiving opportunities.
- Configure and execute SAP standard archiving objects and ensure successful write, delete, and storage processes.
- Work extensively with Supply Chain modules such as SAP MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, and related logistics processes.
- Perform data volume analysis and recommend housekeeping, archiving, deletion, and data reduction approaches.
- Develop archiving roadmaps aligned with business requirements, retention policies, and SAP best practices.
- Coordinate with functional, technical, Basis, infrastructure, and business teams for archiving activities.
- Monitor archiving jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure successful completion of archiving cycles.
- Analyze dependencies between business objects and ensure data consistency before archiving.
- Support SAP S/4HANA data volume management and migration-related data reduction initiatives.
- Work with SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) and retention/deletion concepts where applicable.
- Prepare technical and functional documentation for archiving procedures, configurations, and operational processes.
- Support audits and ensure archived data meets organizational, legal,



and regulatory retention requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve SAP database performance through effective data volume reduction.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP Data Archiving / Data Volume Management.
- Good understanding of SAP Supply Chain and Logistics processes.
- Experience with SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM.
- Knowledge of SAP standard archiving objects and archiving framework.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments.
- Understanding of database growth, performance optimization, and data volume analysis.
- Knowledge of SAP ILM, retention management, and data destruction is preferred.
- Strong understanding of SAP business document dependencies and archiving prerequisites.
- Experience working with SAP Basis teams, DB teams, and functional teams.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with large-scale SAP data archiving projects.
- Knowledge of SAP HANA database and HANA data volume optimization.
- Experience with SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM).
- Exposure to SAP migration, system transformation, or S/4HANA conversion projects.
- Knowledge of third-party SAP archiving/content server solutions is an advantage.

Education Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
