Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and independent SAP MDG Technical Consultant to lead and execute master data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on greenfield implementation experience and a deep technical background in SAP MDG frameworks. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating scalable, “clean core” MDG solutions tailored to complex business requirements, specifically within the Material and Business Partner domains.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture: Design and evaluate robust MDG solutions prioritizing system performance, scalability, and adherence to SAP “clean core” principles.
- End-to-End Implementation: Lead and execute MDG implementations as an individual contributor, drawing on proven experience from at least one full greenfield SAP MDG implementation.
- Custom Development & Modeling: Perform MDG UI modeling and process modeling to meet specific custom requirements. Build custom solutions around validations and derivations.
- Workflow Integration: Develop and maintain Rule-Based Workflows (RBWF), effectively consuming the SAP Organizational Structure within these workflows.
- System Integration: Design and manage MDG interfaces to ensure seamless integration with SAP and non-SAP external systems.

3.1 Technical & Functional Qualifications
- Core MDG Expertise:
Deep understanding of the SAP MDG Central Governance and Consolidation framework.
- Data Quality & Replication: Strong working knowledge of Data Quality Management (DQM) and the Data Replication Framework (DRF).
- Domain Experience: Extensive hands-on project experience with MDG Material and Business Partner (BP) domains.
- Technical Stack: Demonstrated expertise in ABAP, WebDynpro ABAP, Floorplan Manager (FPM), and Business Rule Framework plus (BRF+).
- Frameworks: Solid knowledge of the Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI) framework and the Key Mapping framework.
3.2 Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Cloud Ecosystem (BTP): Experience building scalable extensions and managing applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
- Modern Integration: Working knowledge of SAP Integration Suite for managing cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-premise integrations.
- AI Implementation: Familiarity with SAP Joule for Developers to implement and leverage generative AI capabilities within the MDG landscape (e.g., accelerating development, automating workflows, or optimizing code).

- Communication: Fluent in English (both verbal and written), with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Work Style: Solid ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality results as a self-directed individual contributor.
- Availability: Must be able to consistently support and collaborate within European working hours.
