Job Purpose To achieve sales targets and expand business in the assigned territory by managing distributors, dealers and retailers, increasing market coverage, ensuring product availability, and maintaining strong channel relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular market visits and cover assigned dealers, distributors and retail outlets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers and retailers.
- Generate orders and ensure timely order execution and product availability.
- Expand the distributor and retailer network in the assigned territory.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimum inventory at distributor and retail points.
- Ensure proper product display, visibility and merchandising at retail outlets.
- Implement company schemes, promotions and sales activities effectively.
- Monitor secondary sales and improve product movement in the market.
- Track competitor activities, pricing,
schemes and market trends.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential retailers/dealers.
- Resolve distributor and retailer issues and coordinate with internal teams for timely solutions.
- Prepare daily sales reports, market visit reports and sales forecasts.
- Ensure proper collection/payment follow-up as per company policy.
- Achieve required outlet coverage and improve market penetration.
- Provide regular market feedback to the Area Sales Manager.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of Kolkata market and local geography.
- Channel sales / distributor / dealer management experience.
- Strong relationship-building and customer-handling skills.
- Target-oriented and result-driven approach.
- Positive analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage field activities.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and sales reporting.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
