Role & responsibilities

- Ensure Legal Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety, health, environmental, and factory regulations.

- Conduct Safety Inspections – Regularly inspect machines, work areas, electrical systems, material storage, PPE, and other workplace conditions to identify hazards.

- Risk Assessment &
- Hazard Control – Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments/JSA, and implement appropriate control measures following the hierarchy of controls.

- Incident &

- Accident Investigation – Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences; identify root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions.

- Safety Training &

- Awareness – Conduct induction, toolbox talks, emergency drills, PPE training, and other safety awareness programs for employees and contractors.

- Emergency Preparedness – Develop and maintain emergency response plans for fire, chemical spills, explosions, gas leaks, medical emergencies,



and other foreseeable situations.

- PPE Management – Identify PPE requirements, ensure proper availability and use, and monitor the condition and effectiveness of PPE.

- Safety Procedures &

- Documentation – Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, safety procedures, permits, inspection checklists, risk assessments, incident records, and statutory documentation.

- Monitor Safety Performance – Track safety KPIs such as incidents, near misses, unsafe acts/conditions, corrective actions, and safety observations, and report performance to management.

- Promote Safety Culture – Work with management, supervisors, workers, contractors, and safety committees to build a proactive “Safety First” culture and continuously improve workplace safety.
