Key Responsibilities

- Provide overall academic and strategic leadership for the RPTO and COE.

- Develop and implement the academic vision, programs, curriculum, and training framework.

- Lead and manage faculty, instructors, trainers, and academic/administrative teams.

- Establish academic processes, standards, SOPs, assessment systems, and quality benchmarks.

- Develop partnerships with universities, colleges, engineering institutions, government bodies, and industry organisations.

- Drive student/trainee enrollment, engagement, academic performance, and successful program completion.

- Design and introduce drone/UAV-focused academic and professional training programs in collaboration with industry experts.

- Support development of certification, diploma, skill-development, and industry-oriented programs.

- Oversee academic calendars, examinations, assessments, faculty allocation, and training schedules.

- Establish mechanisms for faculty development, student mentoring, academic reviews, and performance evaluation.

- Build strong relationships with industry and create opportunities for internships, projects, placements, demonstrations, and applied learning.

- Lead seminars, workshops, conferences, faculty development programs, and industry-academia initiatives.

- Support the development of the COE as a platform for research, innovation, technology demonstrations, and drone applications.

- Ensure appropriate documentation, governance, academic records, and institutional processes.

- Work closely with the management and relevant regulatory stakeholders to ensure RPTO and training compliance.





- Prepare and monitor annual academic plans, budgets, KPIs, and institutional growth initiatives.

- Represent Garuda Aerospace at academic, industry, government, and professional forums.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 10+ years of experience in the education/academic sector.

- Experience as Dean, Principal, Director, Academic Head, Head of Institution, Registrar, or equivalent senior academic leadership role.

- Experience managing academic institutions, colleges, universities, training institutes, or skill-development centres.

- Strong understanding of academic administration, curriculum development, faculty management, student engagement, and institutional operations.

- Proven experience in industry-academia collaboration and institutional partnerships.

- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder-management, and team-building skills.

- Ability to build and scale a current academic/training centre from the ground up.

Preferred

- Experience in Engineering, Aviation, Aerospace, Drone/UAV, Technical Education, or Vocational/Skill Development.

- Exposure to DGCA/RPTO or aviation regulatory requirements will be an advantage.

- Existing relationships with universities, colleges, government institutions, and industry bodies will be preferred.

- Ph.D./Master's degree in Engineering, Management, Education, Aviation, Aerospace, or a relevant discipline would be an advantage.
