Gold Loan Officer Responsibilities

- Meet customers who want loans against gold jewellery.
- Explain gold loan products, interest rates, tenure, charges, and repayment terms.
- Verify customer KYC and documents.
- Examine and assess the purity and weight of gold according to company procedures.
- Calculate the eligible Loan-to-Value (LTV) and loan amount.
- Complete loan application, documentation, and agreement formalities.
- Coordinate with the gold appraiser/branch team for valuation and approval.
- Disburse approved loans and ensure proper custody and security of pledged gold.
- Follow up with customers for EMI/interest payments and renewals.
- Handle overdue accounts and assist with recovery while following company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with RBI/company KYC, AML, and gold-security requirements.
- Achieve branch targets for loan disbursement, customer acquisition, renewals, and collections.

Field / Microfinance Loan Officer – Responsibilities
- Visit villages, rural areas, or assigned customer locations regularly.
- Identify and acquire recent borrowers.




- Explain microfinance loan products, eligibility, interest, repayment schedule, and terms.
- Conduct field-level customer verification and KYC checks.
- Assess the customer's income, household situation, business activity, and repayment capacity.
- Form or manage Joint Liability Groups (JLGs)/Self-Help Groups (SHGs) where applicable.
- Collect loan applications and supporting documents.
- Conduct pre-loan visits and submit recommendations for credit approval.
- Disburse loans according to company procedures.
- Make regular field visits for collection of repayments.
- Follow up on overdue/default accounts and conduct recovery visits.
- Maintain daily collection sheets, customer records, and field reports.
- Educate customers about responsible borrowing and timely repayment.
- Meet targets for new customers, loan disbursement, collection efficiency, and portfolio quality.
- Travel extensively and maintain good relationships with customers and local communities.
