Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Software/Data Engineer with robust backend and infrastructure fundamentals to maintain, optimize, and scale high-throughput data pipelines In this role, you will work on the core data orchestration engine that processes telematics and machine autonomy data for a global heavy machinery manufacturer. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless data flows from edge devices to cloud environments, leveraging modern cloud native architectures and robust relational database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Pipeline Orchestration: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines using Apache Airflow and Python.

Database Management: Write optimized, high-performance SQL queries, handle data modeling, and manage relational database systems including MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Backend Development: Develop high-performance APIs and microservices using FastAPI to facilitate data access and system communication.

Infrastructure & Deployment:



Manage containerised application lifecycles using Docker and maintain local/cloud deployments within a Kubernetes infrastructure.

Cloud Architecture: Work extensively within the AWS ecosystem to manage data storage,

compute, and cloud-native workflows.

Required Technical Skills:

Core Languages & Frameworks: Strong proficiency in Python and proven experience building microservices or REST APIs using FastAPI.

Data & Databases: Excellent command of SQL with practical experience designing schemas and optimizing queries in MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Data Orchestration: Hands-on experience building, scheduling, and monitoring workflows with Apache Airflow.

DevOps & Containers: Solid understanding of Docker containerization and deployment/troubleshooting experience within Kubernetes clusters.

Cloud Platforms: Experience working with core AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, EKS, RDS).

Nice-to-Have Skills

Exposure to IoT data, telematics, or machine autonomy systems.

Familiarity with distributed systems and handling data-intensive applications.
