Job Summary

We are looking for a Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater Treatment with hands-on experience in ETP and STP projects. The candidate will be responsible for project execution, installation, commissioning, operation support, coordination with clients and contractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and as per technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute and coordinate ETP, STP and wastewater treatment projects from installation through commissioning.
- Supervise site activities including equipment installation, piping, electrical, mechanical and civil works.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors and internal teams for smooth project execution.
- Review and understand P&IDs;, process flow diagrams, equipment layouts and technical drawings.
- Monitor installation of pumps, blowers, agitators, dosing systems, filters, RO systems and other treatment equipment.
- Ensure proper erection, alignment, testing and commissioning of equipment.
- Monitor project progress against planned schedules and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct trial runs, performance testing and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot operational and technical issues related to ETP/STP systems.
- Ensure treatment parameters and plant performance meet the required specifications.
- Coordinate with the O&M; team during plant handover and stabilization.
- Prepare daily/weekly project progress reports, commissioning reports and other technical documentation.




- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure proper equipment upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental standards and statutory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and identify potential technical and operational risks.
- Manage site manpower and coordinate subcontractors as required.

Technical Knowledge
- ETP / STP process and wastewater treatment technologies
- Biological treatment processes
- Aeration systems and biological treatment
- Clarifiers, filters and sludge handling
- Chemical dosing systems
- Pumps, blowers and other mechanical equipment
- RO / tertiary treatment systems – added advantage
- P&ID; and technical drawing interpretation
- Equipment commissioning and troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems

Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or related Engineering.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in ETP/STP/wastewater treatment projects.
- Candidates with hands-on project execution and commissioning experience will be preferred.
