Business Analyst / Product Owner-P&C; Insurance

Role Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst / Product Owner with strong Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance domain expertise to drive business and product initiatives across the insurance lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will go beyond traditional requirements gathering and demonstrate a strong product mindset, ownership, strategic thinking, and innovation orientation . The role will involve understanding business and customer needs, shaping product direction, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business vision into actionable product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and drive business/product initiatives across the P&C; insurance domain, from ideation through implementation.
- Develop a strong understanding of P&C; insurance products, processes, customer journeys, and business challenges .
- Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership to define product vision, priorities, and roadmap .
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, product enhancement, automation, and innovation .
- Translate business objectives and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria .
- Lead requirement discovery through workshops, stakeholder discussions, process analysis, and data-driven insights.
- Prioritize requirements based on business value, customer impact, feasibility, and strategic objectives .
- Work closely with engineering and delivery teams throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure the intended business outcomes are achieved.
- Act as a strong business/product advocate , challenging existing processes and bringing forward new ideas and solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across underwriting, claims, policy administration, distribution, billing, and other relevant P&C; functions.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies,



and evolving customer expectations to identify new product and innovation opportunities .
- Define and track business outcomes, product success metrics, and adoption.
- Effectively communicate product direction, priorities, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar product/business leadership role .
- Strong and hands-on Property & Casualty (P&C;) / General Insurance domain experience .
- Good understanding of P&C; insurance processes such as underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, distribution, and/or rating .
- Demonstrated experience in product ownership, product strategy, roadmap development, or business transformation .
- Solid ability to understand business problems and translate them into practical, scalable product solutions .
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with business, technology, engineering, and senior leadership teams.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
- Strong customer-centric and product-oriented mindset .
