Wh Role: Product Manager (Quick Commerce)
About the team:
The Planning team improves customer experience through inventory availability and placement that maximize delivery speed. Product owns the systems that automate planning decisions across the network.
About the role:
Own the product roadmap for planning automation across the SH, DS network. Turn manual planning workflows (PO, replenishment, balancing, SMNM) into scalable, system-driven products. Work with Planning, Ops, Category, Finance, Tech, and Data Science.
What you will own:
- Automated PO: Auto PO generation and approval workflows, with exception handling and guardrails (MOQ, lead time, budget, vendor constraints).
- Auto scheduling and replenishment (SH to DS): Rule- and model-driven replenishment, truck and slot scheduling, and capacity-aware dispatch.
- Auto inventory balancing: DS-DS, DS-SH, and SH-SH rebalancing, including trigger logic, transfer cost vs. instock tradeoffs, and execution.
- SMNM management: Detection, liquidation and markdown workflows, and stocking-norm controls to cut aged inventory and working capital lock-in.
- Inventory planning and IPC: Norms, safety stock, and planning configurations, plus monitoring and control towers for instock, DOH, and plan adherence.
- Supplier integration: ASN, VMI,
and EDI products for supplier-side visibility and automated order-to-receipt flows.
- Case pack movement (SH to SH): Case-pack-level planning and movement logic, balancing pack-size constraints against network efficiency.
- Product ops: PRDs, backlog prioritization, UAT, rollout, and adoption tracking. Define success metrics (instock %, inventory turns, planner touch rate, manual-intervention %) and report on them.
- Risk and gaps: Flag system and process gaps early, especially ahead of BAU and event peaks (BBD).
What you should have:
- 5-10 years in product, supply chain tech, or planning, with at least 3 in product ownership of supply chain or planning systems.
- Strong grounding in inventory planning, replenishment, S&OP;, and network design. Quick commerce or e-commerce experience is a plus.
- Hands-on SQL and Python/R, enough to validate logic and size opportunities independently.
- Experience with ERP/WMS/OMS integrations, EDI/ASN, or VMI.
- Ability to translate ambiguous planner workflows into clear, testable system requirements.
- Solid stakeholder management. Customer-first and quantifies the impact of every decision on customer metrics.
- Ownership mindset, comfortable in high-visibility, ambiguous problem spaces.
