We are hiring experienced Prior Authorization Specialists with strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare insurance processes, payer portals and authorization workflows.

ROLE: PRIOR AUTHORIZATION SPECIALIST

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Obtain prior authorizations and referrals through insurance portals and telephonic communication

Verify patient insurance eligibility, coverage and benefits

Process authorization requests for surgeries, procedures, injections and DME

Submit required clinical documentation to insurance companies

Track, monitor and follow up on pending authorization requests

Maintain accurate authorization records and system updates

Coordinate with physicians, clinical teams and insurance representatives

Resolve authorization-related issues

Ensure timely completion of requests to avoid delays in patient care

Follow payer guidelines and organizational standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1.6+ years of experience in Prior Authorization / Pre-Authorization

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare insurance processes

Experience working with insurance portals and payer guidelines





Excellent communication and follow-up skills

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is preferred

Graduates only

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Candidates with experience in authorizations related to:

Surgeries

Medical Procedures

Injections

Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
