- Work towards improving vocabulary, pronunciation, confidence and communication skills of both teachers and students.
Creating a strong spoken-English workplace is a non-negotiable expectation from the Principal. 3. Teacher Motivation & Development The Principal should build a team of teachers who teach with passion rather than simply complete assigned duties.
Responsibilities include
- Keep staff motivated, positive and focused on student learning.
- Create an environment where good teaching is appreciated and recognised.

- Promote teamwork and discourage negativity, complacency and unnecessary internal politics.
The Principal should lead by example and create a culture where teachers feel accountable, valued and inspired to perform better. 4. Systems & Process Improvement The Principal will continuously review and strengthen the school's operational and academic systems.
This includes
- Developing and implementing appropriate SOPs.
- Improving systems for attendance, dispersal, examinations, lesson planning, substitutions, discipline and communication.
- Establishing transparent reporting and accountability mechanisms.
- Ensuring school records and CBSE-required documentation are maintained systematically.
- Creating effective systems for academic reviews, teacher evaluation and student progress monitoring.
- Ensuring responsibilities are clearly delegated and followed up.
- Identifying inefficient processes and simplifying them.
- Ensuring policies and systems are actually implemented rather than remaining only on paper.
The objective should be to make the school increasingly system-driven rather than person-dependent. 5. Student Strength & Admissions Growth The Principal will actively contribute towards increasing the total strength of the school.
Responsibilities include
- Improve parent satisfaction and student retention.
- Understand reasons for withdrawals and take corrective action where appropriate.
- Participate actively in the admission process and parent interactions.

- Support admission campaigns, school events, open houses and community outreach.
- Identify the school's strengths and effectively communicate them to parents.

- Work closely with the Management and Admission Team towards annual student-strength targets.
Growth should primarily come through quality, parent trust, student performance and the positive reputation of the school. 6. Student Exposure & Holistic Development The Principal should ensure that education extends beyond textbooks and examinations.
Students should receive regular opportunities for:
- Public speaking and communication
- Sports and physical development
- Art, music, dance and theatre
- Competitions and Olympiads
- Educational visits and field trips
- Exhibitions and projects
- Leadership responsibilities
- Inter-school competitions
- Cultural programmes
- Science, technology and experiential learning
- Interaction with professionals and experts
- Social awareness and community activities
The Principal should particularly work towards giving students exposure beyond what they ordinarily receive from their home or immediate environment, thereby improving their confidence, awareness and aspirations. 7. Student Discipline, Safety & School Culture The Principal will:
- Maintain a disciplined, respectful and positive school environment.
- Ensure appropriate student behaviour without creating an unnecessarily fearful environment.
- Promote values, manners, responsibility, cleanliness and civic sense.
