Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Plant Head to manage the overall operations of our cable manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for production, quality, maintenance, manpower, safety, cost control, planning, and overall plant performance.

The Plant Head will ensure smooth and productive plant operations while achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Overall Plant Operations

- Take complete responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Plan, manage, and monitor overall production activities.
- Ensure achievement of daily, monthly, and annual production targets.
- Improve plant productivity, efficiency, and machine utilization.
- Ensure smooth coordination between all plant departments.

1. Production Management

- Plan production as per customer orders and business requirements.
- Monitor production processes for ABC Cables, power cables, control cables, conductors, and related cable products.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, and other resources.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
- Reduce production losses, wastage, rejection, and downtime.

1. Manpower Management

- Manage and supervise plant employees, including managers, engineers, supervisors, operators, technicians, and helpers.
- Ensure proper manpower planning and deployment.
- Maintain discipline and productivity across the plant.
- Coordinate with HR for recruitment, training, performance management, and employee-related issues.




- Develop a strong and accountable production team.

1. Quality Management

- Ensure products are manufactured according to defined quality standards and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to minimize rejection and customer complaints.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
- Promote continuous improvement in production and quality processes.

1. Maintenance Management

- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to ensure maximum machine availability.
- Monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Reduce machine downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure proper maintenance records and schedules are maintained.

1. Planning & Material Management

- Coordinate with Production Planning, Purchase, Stores, and Sales teams.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize material wastage.
- Plan production according to available resources and delivery requirements.

1. Cost & Productivity Control

- Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Control wastage, overtime, power consumption, and other operational expenses.
- Improve production efficiency and overall plant profitability.
- Monitor key plant performance indicators and take corrective action.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with plant safety rules and procedures.




- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and take corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, labour, environmental, and factory requirements in coordination with the concerned departments.

1. MIS & Reporting

- Review daily production, quality, maintenance, manpower, and downtime reports.
- Prepare and present plant performance reports to management.
- Track production KPIs and implement improvement plans.
- Conduct regular review meetings with departmental heads.

1. Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Implement 5S, productivity improvement, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop systems to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and employee productivity.

Required Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, Production, or related engineering discipline preferred.

Experience
- 05–10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing/plant operations.
- Experience in cable manufacturing, electrical products, conductor manufacturing, or similar industries preferred.
- Candidates with strong experience in production and complete plant operations will be preferred.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
