About the Role

URC Construction Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Planning Manager to manage project planning, scheduling, monitoring and progress control for a major Industrial Building Project in Bhubaneswar.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in construction planning and project controls, with the ability to develop project schedules, track progress, identify delays and coordinate with various project teams to ensure timely completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed project baseline schedules in line with project requirements.
- Prepare project execution plans, work programs and detailed construction schedules.
- Monitor actual project progress against planned schedules and identify deviations.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports for management review.
- Coordinate with Civil, MEP, Procurement, Contracts and Execution teams to ensure planned progress.
- Analyze project delays and develop recovery / catch-up plans wherever required.
- Track manpower, materials, equipment and other project resources against planned requirements.




- Prepare and update look-ahead schedules and activity-wise execution plans.
- Monitor critical activities and identify potential bottlenecks affecting project timelines.
- Prepare progress curves, productivity reports and other project planning dashboards.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, consultants and clients regarding project progress and schedules.
- Support management in identifying schedule risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure project activities are aligned with approved milestones and contractual timelines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Planning / Project Controls within the construction industry.
- Strong experience in Industrial Building / Large-scale Building Projects preferred.
- Good knowledge of construction planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction activities, sequencing and project execution.
- Experience in preparing MIS, progress reports, S-curves and recovery schedules.
- Robust analytical, coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple project teams.
- Immediate Joiners are preferred.
