Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, clinically competent Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery (CTVS) team. The candidate will work closely with CTVS consultants and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative care.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist CTVS consultants in patient assessment and clinical management.
- Take patient history and perform physical examinations as required.
- Assist with pre-operative evaluation and patient preparation.
- Participate in daily ward and ICU rounds with the surgical team.
- Monitor post-operative patients and identify any clinical deterioration.
- Assist in the management and monitoring of surgical drains, chest tubes, wounds, and other post-operative care requirements.
- Review and follow up on laboratory investigations, ECG, imaging, echocardiography, and other diagnostic reports.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures as required.
- Coordinate investigations, consultations, and patient care with other departments.




- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, medications, wound care, and discharge instructions.
- Assist with discharge planning and follow-up coordination.
- Escalate urgent clinical concerns promptly to the treating consultant.
- Follow hospital protocols for infection control, patient safety, and clinical documentation.

Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Candidates with experience in CTVS, Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac ICU, ICU, or Critical Care will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant clinical training may also apply.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and clinical observation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends/emergency duties, as required.
