Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Neurosurgeon role based at SriKamatchi Medical Centre in Thanjavur. The Neurosurgeon will evaluate and manage patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions, including disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, interpreting diagnostic imaging and tests, planning and performing neurosurgical and spine procedures, and providing pre- and post-operative care.

The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams,



participating in case discussions and care pathways, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and evidence-based clinical protocols. The Neurosurgeon is expected to contribute to continuous improvement of clinical services, support junior clinicians, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

- Clinical expertise in Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery, with proven ability to manage complex cranial and spinal cases.
- Solid foundation in Medicine and Neurology to assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of neurological conditions.
- Experience in comprehensive spine care, including surgical and non-surgical management of spine disorders.
- Board-certified or equivalent specialization in Neurosurgery, with valid medical registration as per national regulations.
- Advanced skills in interpreting CT, MRI, and other neuroimaging, and integrating findings into treatment plans.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-speciality hospital setting and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Commitment to high standards of patient safety, ethical practice, and evidence-based medicine.
- Prior experience in a tertiary or quaternary care centre and familiarity with international clinical guidelines is an advantage.
