Core Responsibilities

∙Design and Setup: Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. ∙Monitoring: Track network performance, bandwidth usage, and system uptime using tools like SolarWinds or Nagios.

∙Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix network outages, connectivity drops, and hardware failures. ∙

Security: Set up virtual private networks (VPNs), secure protocols, and access control policies. ∙

Maintenance: Apply firmware updates, patches, and routine system upgrades.

[ Required Skills and Qualifications ∙

Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. ∙

Protocols: Robust knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and VLANs. ∙Certifications: Industry credentials like CCNA or equivalent vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper). ∙

Soft Skills: Problem-solving under pressure and clear communication for vendor and team collaboration.
