As we expand our exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) across the country, we are looking for a high-ownership retail leader to drive operational excellence, store profitability, customer experience and scalable retail systems.

The Role

As the National Retail Operations Head, you will own end-to-end operations across Zouk's exclusive brand outlets in India. You will be responsible for driving store performance, strengthening operational processes, building retail leadership capability and preparing the business for significant nationwide expansion.

This role requires a hands-on and analytical leader who can work closely with the Founder and cross-functional teams to translate business priorities into measurable store-level outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Retail Operations & Performance

- Oversee day-to-day operations across all exclusive brand outlets nationally.
- Drive sales productivity, conversion rates, Average Transaction Value (ATV), and Units Per Transaction (UPT).
- Ensure adherence to SOPs across visual merchandising, customer experience, inventory management and cash controls.
- Lead store audits, compliance, shrinkage control and loss prevention.

2. Retail Expansion & Scalability

- Build standardised operating frameworks and SOPs to support expansion from dozens to hundreds of stores.
- Partner with Offline Business, Business Development and Projects teams to ensure operational readiness for new store launches.
- Develop store grading, benchmarking and performance evaluation frameworks.

3. Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Build and lead a multi-layer retail operations team comprising Regional, Area and Store Managers.
- Drive hiring, onboarding,



training and succession planning for retail leadership positions.
- Establish clear KRAs, performance reviews and incentive structures.
- Improve employee retention through structured career paths and capability development.

4. Customer Experience & Brand Execution

- Ensure consistent delivery of Zouk's brand promise across all stores.
- Improve customer satisfaction, mystery audit scores and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising and Marketing teams to execute campaigns effectively at the store level.

5. Commercial & Financial Performance

- Drive store-level profitability, EBITDA, like-for-like (LFL) growth and sales per square foot.
- Monitor store P&L; performance, rent-to-revenue ratios and operating costs.
- Partner with Finance and Supply Chain teams to improve inventory turns, stock availability and markdown management.

6. Data, Systems & Process Improvement

- Drive adoption and effective utilisation of POS, ERP systems, dashboards and retail analytics.
- Identify underperforming stores and implement data-backed corrective action plans.
- Establish standardised reporting and review mechanisms for leadership.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Expansion, Projects, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams.
- Ensure alignment between business strategy and store-level execution.

Requirements
- MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 business school.
- 2–6 years of experience in offline retail operations.
- Proven experience managing 50+ stores across multiple locations nationally.
- Strong understanding of retail unit economics, store profitability and operational KPIs.
- Experience working with POS, ERP systems, dashboards and retail analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable processes, drive operational improvements and lead retail teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving,



stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.

Preferred Background: Experience in fast-growing D2C, lifestyle, fashion, accessories or other consumer retail brands, particularly in high-growth environments.
