About the Role
Assistant Manager - Mould Development based in Kandivali, Mumbai, responsible for mould and dies development, coordinating with engineering design and mould makers, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experienced mold and dies development Engineer with core tooling development ( Injection Mould ) expert. Coordinate with Engineering design and Mould makers to ensure timely delivery of final product with utmost quality in terms of fit, finish and function.
- The ability to step up, take responsibility, make timely informed decisions and take ownership for complete product development.
- Individually Development of Home/Kitchen appliances plastic products.
- Analyze recent components, materials and technologies to evaluate manufacturing feasibility for all new product development. ( DFM )
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary CFT teams to facilitate from Manufacturing Feasibility to mold development till product launch.
- Ability to Analyze Mold, Jig &fixture; cost estimates and prepare schedule plans for effective implementation of projects.
- Part design Review and Feedback, Part DFM, mould DFM, Engineering calculation related to plastic processing & Mold design approval.
- Prepare documents required for product cost estimates of tooled up samples providing details of machine, cycle time and losses of RM etc.
- Coordinate with Mold maker/Vendor and responsible for timely delivery of final product/Mold with utmost quality in terms of fit, finish and function.
- Attend mould trials, review working of mould's functions, assess components for manufacturing defect & due to tool operations. Should travel to customer or assembler end as per requirement.
- Responsible for complete mold installation, pilot run and mass production and part approval along with establishing secondary processes for plastic part assembly like welding, painting, plating, etc.
