Role Description The Merchandiser role at The Saraogi Clothing Company is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Chennai Area. The Merchandiser will coordinate between production, sales, and clients to plan and manage uniform collections, ensuring that product ranges meet customer requirements in design, quality, and timelines.

Daily responsibilities include analyzing market trends, preparing product assortments, managing samples, and supporting the development of new fabrics and styles for workwear and linens.



The role involves frequent interaction with key customers and internal teams to track orders, monitor inventory, optimize display and presentation, and maintain product and pricing information. The Merchandiser will also contribute to promotional activities, gather customer feedback, and help strengthen the brand’s presence in target markets.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams effectively.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Retail skills to manage assortments, support order closing, and ensure optimal product presentation.
- Candidates should possess Marketing skills to assist in product positioning, promotions, and brand representation in the workwear segment.
- Relevant experience in apparel, textiles, uniforms, or fashion merchandising is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chennai Area and coordinate across production, design, and client service functions.
- Proficiency with basic office software and merchandising tools; familiarity with inventory or order management systems is a plus.
- A diploma or degree in Fashion, Textile Design, Merchandising, Business, or a related field is preferred.
