Role & responsibilities

. Required Technical Knowledge

- Good understanding of panel fabrication practices sheet metal, enclosures, mounting layouts, gland plates, ventilation, cable entry
- Knowledge of sheet metal design principles — bending, cutouts, welding, finishing
- Understanding of IP ratings, panel construction standards, and general panel-building practices
- Ability to read and interpret customer layout requirements, GA drawings, and site/space constraints
- Basic awareness of electrical panel internals (component placement, clearance requirements) is an advantage

5. Required Software Skills

- SolidWorks — 3D mechanical design and modeling — mandatory
- AutoCAD (3D) — 3D drafting and detailing — mandatory
- Solid Edge — an added advantage

6. Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 3D models and fabrication drawings for panel enclosures based on electrical layout and customer requirements
- Prepare detailed sheet metal drawings — cutouts, bending details, hardware placement




- Coordinate with Electrical Design team for component placement, clearance, and layout finalization
- Prepare drawings for customer approval; incorporate review comments and revisions
- Release fabrication drawings to Production with complete detailing for manufacturing
- Support Production with clarifications during panel fabrication
- Maintain drawing documentation and revision control as per company practice

7. Desired Soft Skills

- Strong spatial/visualization ability for 3D design
- Attention to detail — dimensional accuracy is critical for fabrication
- Good coordination skills to work with Electrical Design and Production teams
- Willingness to learn panel-building practices (for freshers from pure mechanical background)

Ability to work to deadlines in an order-driven workplace
