Role Overview:

The Senior Manager Minting will lead the in-house Tool Room and Die Making workshop supporting packing card production, owning die design, manufacture, and maintenance end to end. The role combines hands-on die-making craft with CAD/CAM-driven tooling development, and leads a team of 20+ tool room engineers.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the in-house Tool Room / Die Making workshop operations for packing card (minting) production.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of dies, tools, and fixtures used in packing card production.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and performance management for a team of 20+ tool room engineers.
- Drive CAD/CAM-based die and tool design using NX CAD, NX CAM, Carveco, and related software.
- Oversee CNC Lathe, VMC, Wire-cut, and EDM programming and machine operations for tool and die manufacture.
- Coordinate with production,



quality, and maintenance teams to align tooling plans with production schedules.
- Plan and manage the tool room's budget, spares, and consumables.
- Drive continuous improvement in die design, machining processes, and tool life.
- Ensure the tool room follows safety standards and practices.
- Maintain documentation for tool/die designs, drawings, and process records.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1215 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years hands-on in a Tool Room Workshop.
- Robust core knowledge of the Die Making process, with hands-on experience built in the first 3–5 years of their career.
- Minimum 10 years' experience leading an industrial tool room, managing a team of 20+ engineers.
- 2–3 years of experience in the Printing industry is preferred.
- Must be located near the plant and versatile to reach the workshop on an urgent, 24x7 basis for tooling breakdown situations.
