Job Summary

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to handle the day-to-day maintenance requirements of our 7 Service Apartment / Homestay units in Madurai.

The technician will be responsible for attending guest complaints, identifying maintenance issues, carrying out repairs, and ensuring all properties are maintained in safe and working condition.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend and resolve maintenance complaints received from all 7 units.
- Travel between properties as required based on maintenance requests.
- Attend guest room, common area and property maintenance issues promptly.
- Handle basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance works.
- Troubleshoot and repair:
- Lights, switches, sockets and electrical fittings
- Fans, exhaust fans and other basic electrical equipment
- Water taps, showers, flush systems and leakage issues
- Water pumps and basic plumbing problems
- Doors, locks, hinges and minor carpentry issues
- Furniture and fixtures
- Bathroom and sanitary fittings
- AC-related basic checks and coordinate with external AC technicians when required
- Geysers and other basic appliances
- Carry out regular preventive maintenance across all properties.
- Inspect rooms and common areas periodically to identify potential maintenance issues before they become complaints.
- Attend urgent breakdowns and guest-related maintenance complaints on priority.




- Coordinate with external vendors / service technicians for specialized repairs.
- Follow up with vendors until the issue is completely resolved.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance complaints, repairs and pending works.
- Maintain required tools, spare parts and maintenance materials.
- Inform the management about major repair requirements and material requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and properly.
- Support the housekeeping and operations team whenever required.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area after completing repairs.
- Be available for emergency maintenance support when required.

Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician / Hotel Technician / Property Maintenance Technician / Service Apartment Technician is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of:
- Electrical maintenance
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Painting / civil maintenance
- General building maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot problems independently.
- Good practical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple maintenance requests and prioritize urgent complaints.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Should be willing to travel between all 7 properties in Madurai.
- Should be punctual,



responsible and disciplined.
- Ability to work independently as well as with the operations team.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred.

Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or related technical qualification preferred.
- Candidates with relevant hands-on maintenance experience may also be considered.
