Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor / Mechanical Engineer with 6- 8 years of experience in foundry maintenance, preferably in Aluminium Die Casting or a similar manufacturing environment.

The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and smooth functioning of foundry equipment, including melting furnaces, holding furnaces, LPDC, HPDC, hydraulic systems, and heat treatment equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities in the foundry and production areas.
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Handle maintenance of melting furnaces and holding furnaces, including associated mechanical systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) and High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) machines.
- Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, hydraulic power packs, and related equipment.
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of heat treatment equipment/furnaces.




- Diagnose mechanical failures and minimize machine downtime through effective troubleshooting.
- Monitor machine health and identify potential failures to avoid unplanned breakdowns.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare parts consumption, and machine history.
- Identify recurring equipment failures and implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, safety procedures, and maintenance standards.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of machinery and equipment.
- Work towards reducing machine downtime and improving equipment availability and reliability.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service providers for specialized maintenance and equipment servicing.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of foundry maintenance and mechanical maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with melting and holding furnaces.
- Good exposure to HPDC and LPDC machines.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of industrial safety and 5S practices.

Desired Candidate Profile
- 6-8 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in a foundry / die-casting environment.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
