Key Accountabilities

Planning &

- Scheduling

- Initiate Internal and External Kickoff Meeting with team with complete documentation for the Kickoff meeting. Ensure study of all I/P documents done and in case of any queries to be raised within 3 working days

- Lead & own the process of preparation of Project requirement specification document (PRS) after the receipt of User Requirement Specification (URS) within 2-3weeks of the project coming in.

- Prepare the engineering documents as per the documents list

- Plan for deliverables & set project completion deadlines.

- Assist PM in Manpower estimation, work planning / forecast and effective utilization of manpower.

- Prepare & plan for Master QA plan with the PM / Quality Control Manager.

- Plan for documentation from Customers.

Engineering Design &

- Documentation

- Prepare description of Project, Design of logic, complex logic programs, Panel drawings, system configuration diagrams, write up of logic, various screens etc.

- Control System Project Requirement Specification including Hardware Requirement Specification &
- Software requirement Specification

- Associate in design towards and Preparation of Instrumentation Design Documents including P&I; Diagrams, Instrumentation Index, Data Sheet etc.

- Associate in design towards and Preparation of Erection Hardware Design including Layouts Diagram, Hookup Diagrams etc.

- Security Implementations

- Lead the team of Project engineers to execute all the design deliverables.

- Capture all changes / modifications in the deliverables that has been intimated by Project, prior to release of deliverable.

- Immediate review of all documents submitted by the team

- Hand over the documents to the other team member for review before submitting to QAM as per ISO norms.

Project Execution The role of Project Lead:

- To understand the complete scope of the project from the PM after receiving the Project Initiation Document.





- To prepare detailed task sheet and download tasks with deadlines to team and send the sheet to PM for sign off.

- One point of contact for the Customer, PM & the team for the project.

- Do periodic project reviews with PM & client & send report (project tracker)

- Responsible for the team performance i.e. meeting task deadlines of team, their site visit (no. of days as per budget) authorization, travel & stay authorization.

- Proactive troubleshooting to meet project deadlines.

- At any stage of the project, if any change is requested by the client resulting in change of material / work requirement as per PRS then to be

informed to the PM & management proactively and to be implemented only post due approvals from PM/Management.

- Preparation of Indents (Timely, No revisions and max indents per project as per the set guidelines)

- Preparation of Complex Logic self or guide team in predation of same.

- Takes help from the vendors in resolving the issues.

- Technical faults/queries to be logged via official documentation / Tech-Connect” within 6hrs of the problem to respective Vendors.

- Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents / drawings before release at any Revision status.

- To execute projects independently or act as a team leader with the responsibility and execution of a project engineer in case of emergency. However this role is meant only for emergency and should resolve into this role in absence of available resources.

- Daily Site Reports to be submitted via team members

- Coordinates & direct follow-ups with Works manager for Panels, Logistics for materials, vendors and clients for Project execution





Testing &

- Quality

- Keeps the client constantly updated with the progress of the project

- Ensures successful commissioning, internal FAT and at customer site.

- All Quality checks, documentation and norms to be followed to ensure zero NCs as per ISO standards.

- Allocate Quality check responsibilities to the team during project execution, constant review & monitor compliance.

- AS BUILT documentation work to be completed by the team within 15days0020ddof commissioning Date.

Installation &

- Commissioning

- Ensure Installation & commissioning as per deadlines

- Ensure DPRs and schedules are prepared at site

- Ensure open Issues are recorded and timely actions taken

- Sign off for before leaving site (MOM / Project Closure)

- PTR or customers appreciation for self and MIPL

After Sales service

- First point of contact for any technical issues during warranty period

- Responsible for technical support for AMC contracts of clients

Technical Skills

Essential

- ISA codes & other international standards.

- Knowledge about prevailing engineering practices in Indian & international Market.

- In-depth knowledge of SCADA, HMI, Logic Programming

- Various Rockwell Control Systems – Like RS logix 500 /5000 FTV / SCADA

- Domain Knowledge towards Reactors, Distillation Units operational, Power Management Solutions

- Detail engineering activities like Instrumentation Index, Data Sheets, P&I; Diagrams, Erection Hardware Engineering etc.

- Selection Of Field instruments including Flow, Level, control valves, safety valves.

- Knowledge about materials selection for instrumentation

- Sizing of control valves, safety valves, orifice plates, Flow Meters etc.

- Awareness about the market availability of various makes & models of equipment.

- Networking: device net, control net, Ethernet

- Panel Testing

- Software-AutoCAD, Micro Station MS excel, MS word
