Lead AI & Automation Engineer

Position Overview (Job Summary):

The Lead AI & Automation Engineer will provide technical leadership and hands-on engineering support across Data Center, Network Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and End User Services.

The role is responsible for converting automation and AI opportunities into secure, governed, reusable, production-ready solutions. The individual will manage the automation backlog, establish engineering standards, guide architectural decisions, coach engineers, and personally design and deliver complex automation solutions.

The position covers infrastructure automation, AI-assisted operations, intelligent remediation, self-service, observability, workflow orchestration, AI agents, and integrations involving Microsoft platforms, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, ServiceNow, and domain-specific infrastructure technologies.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Lead and mentor AI & Automation Engineers across multiple technology domains.

✅ Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade automation solutions and AI-powered workflows.

✅ Build integrations between Microsoft platforms, ServiceNow, infrastructure tools, and business applications.

✅ Establish automation standards, governance, security controls, and reusable engineering patterns.

✅ Drive adoption of Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, and Security Copilot.

✅ Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), Ansible playbooks, PowerShell, and Python automation.

✅ Implement intelligent self-service, AI agents, workflow orchestration, and self-healing operations.

✅ Manage automation backlog, delivery roadmap, performance metrics, and business value realization.

✅ Ensure compliance, observability, monitoring, auditability, and operational readiness of all solutions.

✅ Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, security teams, and technology vendors.





Experience:

- Significant experience in enterprise automation, AI engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering or service automation.
- Proven technical leadership experience within a cross-functional engineering team.
- Robust hands-on experience delivering production-grade automation solutions.
- Experience across more than one infrastructure or IT service domain.
- Experience designing integrations between enterprise platforms.
- Experience establishing engineering standards, governance frameworks and reusable automation patterns.
- Experience managing automation backlogs and technical roadmaps.
- Experience in complex, global enterprise environments.
- Experience presenting technical decisions, risks and business value to senior stakeholders.
- Experience converting proofs of concept into secure, scalable and supported production solutions.
