About Saachi

Saachi Japanese Language Institute, based in Bengaluru, is a language training institute known for its communicative, speaking-first approach. Our courses are led by experienced, certified instructors and combine structured study materials, regular assessments, and cultural activities. We are now extending the same approach to German and Korean through on-site training programmes with partner institutions.

Role Overview The Language Trainer – German / Korean role is a part-time, on-site position in Bengaluru. The trainer will teach German or Korean to learners at a partner institution, as part of Saachi's foreign-language training programme. Most learners will be complete beginners, so the focus is on building practical communication skills from the first class, alongside grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and delivery

- Deliver interactive classroom sessions to learner batches, in line with the partner institution's timetable and calendar.
- Build speaking and listening confidence from the first class through role plays, pair work, and real-life situations.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing in a structured progression suited to beginners.
- Introduce cultural, social, and workplace context so learners understand how the language is actually used.

Planning and materials

- Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives for each session and each stage of the course.
- Adapt and develop teaching materials, worksheets, and practice activities.
- Contribute to course design and help refine the syllabus based on learner progress.

Assessment and feedback

- Assign and review exercises, and conduct regular quizzes and periodic assessments.




- Give learners clear, constructive feedback, and offer extra support to those who are falling behind.
- Prepare learners for recognised certifications where relevant (Goethe-Zertifikat A1/A2 for German, TOPIK I for Korean).

Coordination and reporting

- Maintain attendance records and progress reports for each batch.
- Work with the Saachi team and the partner institution's coordinators to maintain consistent teaching standards.
- Relate the language to learners' goals, such as higher studies, internships, and careers abroad or with German and Korean companies in India.
- Occasionally take part in workshops or cultural events.

Required Qualifications

- Advanced proficiency in German (B2/C1 or equivalent) or Korean (TOPIK 4 or above, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching German or Korean, preferably to adult beginners.
- Ability to design clear, goal-oriented lessons and take beginners to a defined level within a set course duration.
- Confident classroom management with larger groups, and an interactive, learner-centred teaching style.
- Strong spoken and written English for instruction, coordination, and learner support.
- Ability to work part-time on-site in Bengaluru during daytime hours, with some flexibility in scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications

- A degree or certification in the language, education,



or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification or teacher-training certificate for the language.
- Familiarity with the CEFR or TOPIK frameworks and experience preparing learners for certification exams.
- Prior classroom teaching experience at an educational institution.
- Exposure to German or Korean workplace or academic culture, through study, work, or residence abroad.

Engagement Details

- Position type: Part time, on-site.
- Location: Bengaluru.
- Languages: German or Korean (separate openings for each).
- Schedule: Fixed weekly schedule during daytime hours, agreed in advance.
