Webomates is an AI-powered software quality company building solutions that help organisations improve software testing and quality through automation and AI.

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer who has a strong foundation in Java development and hands-on experience using Claude Code as part of their software development workflow.

Role Overview

As a Junior Software Developer, you will work with the engineering team to develop, enhance, and maintain Webomates products. You will contribute to backend development, APIs, bug fixing, testing, and product enhancements while working closely with senior developers, QA, and product teams.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable using Claude Code for software development, debugging, refactoring, and testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Debug issues and implement fixes.
- Write and maintain unit tests.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Use Git for version control.
- Use Claude Code effectively for code generation, debugging, refactoring, testing, and understanding existing code.
- Collaborate with QA, AI, Product, and engineering teams.
- Learn and adopt recent technologies and development practices.

Required Skills

- 1–2 years of software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience building REST APIs.




- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Good understanding of Git.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with Claude Code.
- Ability to review and validate AI-generated code and make appropriate improvements.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

- Basic knowledge of Angular and TypeScript.
- Basic understanding of AWS.
- Familiarity with Docker or CI/CD.
- Experience with other AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT.
- Experience working on SaaS or AI-powered products.
