Job Summary

We are looking for a Jr. Production Engineer to support day-to-day furniture production activities and ensure smooth execution of manufacturing orders as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. The candidate will work closely with the Production, PPC, Design, QC, Stores, and Dispatch teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor daily production activities and ensure jobs are completed as per the production schedule.
- Read and understand production drawings, BOMs, cutting lists, and work instructions.
- Coordinate with production supervisors and shop-floor teams for smooth execution of jobs.
- Monitor manufacturing processes including cutting, CNC operations, edge banding, drilling, assembly, and finishing.
- Verify dimensions, specifications, and quantities during different stages of production.
- Coordinate with the QC team to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Track production progress and highlight delays, bottlenecks, or material shortages to seniors.
- Coordinate with Stores/Purchase for availability of required materials, hardware, and consumables.
- Monitor material usage and help minimize wastage, rejection, and rework.
- Maintain daily production records and prepare basic production MIS/reports.
- Assist in monitoring manpower productivity and machine utilization.
- Follow up with the concerned teams to ensure timely completion of production orders.
- Assist in identifying production-related problems and implementing corrective actions.




- Ensure proper 5S, housekeeping, and safety practices on the production floor.
- Support senior production staff in process improvement and productivity enhancement activities.
- Coordinate with the Dispatch team to ensure completed products are ready as per dispatch requirements.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of Furniture Manufacturing & Production Processes
- Ability to read and understand production drawings
- Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage
- Basic understanding of CNC and furniture machinery
- Production Planning & Shop-Floor Coordination
- Quality checking and problem-solving
- Basic MS Excel and reporting skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail

Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be a hands-on, technically inclined, and proactive individual who is willing to work closely with the shop-floor team and develop strong expertise in furniture production, process control, quality, and manufacturing operations.
