Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in real-time, low-latency data engineering and microservices development . The candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and GCP .

The role involves designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend services and real-time data processing solutions while following contemporary software engineering, DevOps and Agile practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop scalable and resilient RESTful APIs and microservices .
- Build and maintain real-time, low-latency data processing solutions using Apache Kafka.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka producers, consumers and messaging patterns .
- Develop containerized microservices using Docker .
- Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes, Helm and Kubernetes configuration files .
- Work with API Gateway technologies for API routing, security, authentication and traffic management.




- Develop cloud-native applications and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
- Implement unit and integration testing using JUnit and follow TDD/BDD practices.
- Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices.
- Work with tools such as Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, Docker and Kubernetes .
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot application, performance and production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA and DevOps engineers.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies , sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and reviews.
- Track development activities and defects using tools such as Jira and Confluence .
