In-Process Quality Engineer / Quality Inspector

Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing / Quality or relevant discipline

We are looking for an experienced In-Process Quality Engineer / Quality Inspector to monitor manufacturing processes and ensure products meet defined quality standards, specifications and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct in-process inspection at various stages of manufacturing.
- Perform first-piece, patrol and routine inspections as per the inspection plan.
- Verify product dimensions, tolerances and specifications using appropriate measuring instruments.
- Ensure adherence to drawings, work instructions, control plans and process parameters.
- Identify and control process defects, rejection, rework and non-conforming materials.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams for immediate corrective action.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto and other quality tools.
- Support CAPA, 8D, Poka-Yoke, Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor process rejection, rework, scrap, PPM and First Pass Yield.
- Maintain inspection reports, rejection reports,



quality records and other required documentation.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of materials and components.
- Verify the status/calibration of measuring instruments and gauges.
- Support internal, customer and certification audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Prepare daily/monthly quality MIS and defect analysis reports.
