MRE and TMS Specialist

Role Purpose

This role will provide structured support to the Procurement function in IBS for Rate Engine (MRE) Maintenance and support TMS Go-Live and Tethering across Rail and Trucking procurement. The role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all procurement-related processes including MRE rate maintenance, TMS support, data management, reporting, and coordination with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. (MRE) System Specialist Support

- Upload and maintain Truck, Rail, and Barge rates, extensions, surcharge governance, and validation in MRE, coordinating with Procurement Category Managers to ensure valid rate cards.
- Configure corridors, rates, vendors, and allocations in MRE to support Maersk TMS go-live.
- Maintain MRE rates before TMS execution, support spot sourcing for capacity gaps, manage SMDS/NFTP/FACT compliance, raise SNOW tickets, and update CPT/MPT as needed.
- Maintain accurate allocation logic and business shares in MRE and Maersk TMS.
- Manage Split/Rail Combined RCO rates, multimodal structures in MRE, and customer-based surcharge updates.
- Update vendor attributes, contracts, validity extensions, compliance requirements, location master validation, geocode mapping, and data cleansing in TMS and MRE.

2. Supporting (Transport Management System) TMS go-live

- Configure TMS corridors, rates, vendors, and allocations for business go-live.
- Monitor daily TMS capacity and upload urgent rates to support execution.
- Monitor spot needs and create, execute, and maintain spot rates in TMS.
- Resolve TMS vendor and stakeholder issues, escalations, and changes with SD, SOM, Product, Digital, and Master Data teams.
- Track TMS transaction issues affecting invoicing and support payment reconciliation.
- Monitor allocation failures,



identify root causes, and secure alternate capacity quickly.
- Create seasonal rate structures, capacity plans, and sourcing events in TMS.
- Support TMS integration, UAT, data validation, training, and readiness from Procurement.

3. MIS, Reporting & Analytics

- Maintain consolidated trackers for all procurement activities (PR, PO, invoice status, contract status, etc.).
- Review and maintain dashboards for management reporting and addressing data discrepancies.

4. Contract Lifecycle Management

- Signing of Agreement through Ironclad / Manual signing as per prescribed Global authority matrix and duly approved by respective category Manager.
- Follow up with Legal team for contract vetting and approvals.
- Maintain a centralized contract database in common folder.
- Track vendor contracts, renewals, and expiries, and escalate upcoming deadlines.

5. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Act as a bridge between Procurement, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Business Units.
- Coordinate with Finance team for any query in day-to-day operations.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Procurement Manager on time.

6. Compliance & Governance

- Ensure every procurement activity follows the Investment Authority Matrix and

company policy.
- Track and flag any non-compliance (missing approvals, missing backup documents).
- Support in ensuring vendor compliance with statutory and internal requirements (GST, PAN, certifications).
- Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing data and records.

Skills & Competencies

- Solid knowledge of Power BI, MS Office (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards).
- Experience in ERP/procurement tools (SAP, Keelvar etc.) preferred.
- Excellent coordination and follow-up skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Basic understanding of contracts, compliance, and finance processes.
