Hiring Alert | Senior Legal Counsel | Mumbai / Hybrid

We are hiring a Senior Legal Counsel for a leading global Insurance & Financial Services organization. We are looking for an experienced legal qualified from the Insurance, Financial Services, Reinsurance, or Insurtech industry who can act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while supporting legal, regulatory, commercial, and governance functions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, vendor agreements, technology agreements, distribution agreements, NDAs, and strategic partnerships.

✅ Provide strategic legal guidance on insurance operations, regulatory matters, claims, disputes, litigation, arbitration, and risk management.

✅ Advise stakeholders on insurance regulations, compliance requirements, corporate governance, employment-related matters, and business initiatives.

✅ Manage external counsel, litigation strategy, regulatory proceedings, and dispute resolution matters.

✅ Support audits, compliance reviews, policy development, governance projects, and legal operations.

✅ Partner closely with Finance, Risk,



Compliance, HR, Operations, Product, Claims, and Commercial teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

- LL.B. from a recognized university (LL.M. preferred)
- 12-15 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong experience within Insurance, Financial Services, Reinsurance, or Insurtech sectors
- Expertise in insurance laws, IRDAI regulations, contract law, corporate law, employment law, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, litigation management, regulatory advisory, and corporate governance
- Strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and leadership capabilities
