A Head of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) or senior EHS Safety Officer leads an organization’s group-wide or site-specific safety strategy, regulatory compliance, and risk management framework.

- Strategy &
- Governance:

Develop company-wide EHS policies, standards, management systems, and annual key performance indicators (KPIs) like injury rates and compliance targets.

- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain valid statutory permits, track changes in environmental and labor legislation, and liaise with government regulators.

- Risk Management (HIRA): Oversee Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), process safety, and environmental impact evaluations.

- Audits &

- Inspections:

Conduct regular internal/external safety audits, facility walkdowns, and site assessments.

- Incident Investigations: Lead major or reliable accident/incident investigations, run root-cause analyses (RCA), and enforce corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Emergency Preparedness: Design and test site Emergency Response Plans (ERP), fire safety protocols, and crisis management drills.

- Training &

- Culture:





Drive behavioral safety programs, conduct leadership training, and build safety ownership among line managers and workers.

- Contractor Safety: Implement safety standards and oversight for third-party vendors, construction teams, and maintenance contractors.

- Analytics &

- Reporting:

Maintain dashboards tracking LTIFR (Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate), TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate), near misses, and audit closures

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Fire &

- Safety, Mechanical) or Environmental Science / Occupational Health.

- Certifications: Recognized credentials such as NEBOSH Diploma/IGC, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or regional State Labour Institute diplomas.

- Experience: 10 to 18+ years of total experience, with 5+ years in a senior or leadership EHS role within manufacturing, construction, data centers, or heavy industry.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
