HCC Certified Medical Coder

Experience: 1–2 Years in HCC / Risk Adjustment Coding

Qualification:

- Graduate in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related field

- Active CPC/CRC (AAPC) or CCS (AHIMA) certification

Key Skills & Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CMS-HCC/Risk Adjustment coding guidelines

- Good understanding of Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology

- Experience in reviewing medical records and accurately identifying and coding diagnoses

- Ability to interpret clinical documentation and ensure coding accuracy

- Robust analytical and attention-to-detail skills

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to meet quality and productivity targets

Job Responsibilities:





- Review medical records and clinical documentation for HCC/Risk Adjustment coding

- Identify and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes

- Ensure compliance with CMS-HCC and applicable coding guidelines

- Validate supporting documentation for coded diagnoses

- Maintain high levels of accuracy and productivity

- Identify documentation gaps and coding discrepancies

- Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines and HCC models

Preferred Candidate: Candidates with 1–2 years of hands-on HCC/Risk Adjustment coding experience and an active CPC/CRC or CCS certification.
