Role & responsibilities

- Lead functional testing activities for large-scale, enterprise-level applications.

- Define and drive test strategy, test planning, test design, execution, estimation, and reporting.

- Work with business analysts and functional teams to understand requirements and resolve functional ambiguities.

- Develop test scenarios, test cases, test data, regression suites, and other testing deliverables.

- Establish testing standards, guidelines, templates, and quality processes for the team.

- Lead and mentor testing team members and provide technical guidance.

- Identify opportunities for test automation and drive automation initiatives.

- Track testing progress, project risks, defects, and overall deliverables.

- Conduct daily Scrum calls and prepare weekly status reports for leadership.

- Coordinate with onsite/offshore development, testing, support, and cross-functional teams.

- Perform defect analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause identification.

Preferred candidate profile

- 5 to 8 years of overall experience in Manual and Automation Testing.





- Strong hands-on experience in Functional Testing and QA.

- Minimum 3 years of testing experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.

- Strong understanding of Insurance domain and functional concepts.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodology.

- Experience leading and mentoring testing teams.

- Robust experience creating test strategy, test plans, test frameworks, test scenarios, and regression suites.

- Working knowledge of SQL and database validation.

- Experience in API/Web Services testing using Postman, SOAP UI, or UFT.

- Experience with defect/test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, Bugzilla, or similar tools.

- Exposure to automation frameworks and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket is preferred.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

- B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (CS) educational background preferred.
