General Ledger (GL) Lead - Packaged Functional Food

We're looking for a General Ledger (GL) Lead to own end-to-end accounting, the financial close, statutory compliance and reporting across the company. You will build the controls and processes that let leadership, auditors and investors trust every number as we scale.

What You Will Own

Financial Close & Reporting Own the month-end, quarter-end and year end close end-to-end. Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with Indian GAAP and applicable accounting standards.

General Ledger & Chart of Accounts Maintain and oversee the General Ledger so every record is accurate and complete. Keep the Chart of Accounts structure and classifications clean as the business adds new channels, entities and products.

Journal Entries & Reconciliations Prepare, review and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, depreciation and adjustment entries. Run detailed balance sheet reconciliations and close open items on time.

Internal Controls & Policies Establish and enforce accounting policies, internal controls and

SOPs. Monitor related-party and inter-company transactions across our multi-entity structure for compliance and accurate reporting.

Fixed Assets Manage capitalization of tangible and intangible assets and depreciation accounting. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, run periodic physical verification and reconcile asset records.

Inventory Accounting & Costing Own inventory accounting across manufacturing units, warehouses, distributors and D2C channels. Run periodic inventory reconciliations, ensure accurate stock valuation and product costing across SKUs, and support management with costing insights and margin analysis.





Taxation & Statutory Compliance Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Advance Tax and Income Tax, and review GST reconciliations and filings. Account for income tax provisions and deferred tax, and ensure compliance with the Companies Act, FEMA, working with external tax advisors on complex matters.

Audits Lead statutory audits, tax audits and internal audits end-to-end. Coordinate with auditors, Company Secretaries and regulatory authorities, and support investor reporting requirements.

Systems & Process Improvement Drive accounting automation and process improvements, and oversee ERP and accounting system enhancements, integrations and implementations. Build scalable, controlled processes that reduce manual effort as we grow.

Cross-functional Partnering Work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Taxation and FP&A;, so the books and the MIS always tie out.

Ideal Background

5-8years of relevant accounting and finance experience, ideally in FMCG,

Manufacturing, D2C, Retail or Consumer Goods companies.

CA Inter, CMA, MBA (Finance) or M.Com, or equivalent qualification.

Solid command of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, Income Tax and financial reporting requirements.

Hands-on experience running month-end closes, audits, inventory accounting and costing in a manufacturing or FMCG setup.

Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books or similar ERP / accounting platforms; ERP implementation exposure is a plus.

Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capability.

A process-driven, detail-oriented owner who builds strong controls, works well across teams and drives outcomes independently in a fast-paced environment.

Location & Reporting The role is based out of Bengaluru and reports into the Head of Finance, working closely with the leadership team, auditors and the wider finance function.
