Role Description

This is a part-time role for a Mentor - Generative AI (Gen AI). The Mentor will guide, mentor, and support students in their Generative AI learning journeys.

Responsibilities include facilitating hands-on learning sessions, assisting students in building Gen AI applications, providing constructive feedback, and helping them develop real-world projects and strong portfolios. The Mentor will also stay updated with the latest advancements, tools, and frameworks in Generative AI to ensure the learning experience remains relevant, practical, and impactful.

Minimum Experience Required: 5+ Years in the Relevant Domain.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Python and a strong understanding of Generative AI concepts, Large Language Models (LLMs), and prompt engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools, frameworks, and APIs, such as OpenAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or equivalent technologies.




- Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and document processing.
- Experience building or integrating AI-powered applications, chatbots, AI agents, and LLM-based solutions.
- Familiarity with data preprocessing, model evaluation, API integration, and deploying AI applications.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, hallucination mitigation, and the limitations of Generative AI systems.
- Excellent mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively support students in their learning journeys.
- Ability to explain complex AI concepts in a simple, practical, and accessible manner to learners with varying levels of experience.
- Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring in an academic or professional setting is a strong advantage.
- Passion for empowering others, encouraging hands-on experimentation, and fostering an active learning workplace.

Program & Role Details:

Time: Approximately 1-2 hours per day (flexible scheduling)

Language Requirement: Fluency in Tamil is mandatory for conducting all training and mentoring sessions.

What You Will Do: Conduct focused sessions, guide projects, answer technical doubts, and provide constructive feedback to ambitious learners.
