Sr. Forward Deployment Engineer

About the role:

Delhivery is building an AI-first operating model where AI changes how work gets done, not just how existing tasks are automated.

We are looking for Forward Deployed Engineers who will work closely with business, operations and engineering teams to identify high-impact internal use cases and convert them into working AI solutions that run in production. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering fundamentals, a builder’s mindset, and a passion for using AI to improve how work gets done

This is a highly hands-on role for people who create momentum, operate well in ambiguity, and take ownership without waiting for detailed requirements or perfect conditions.

What you will own

- Deeply understand existing workflows, decisions, bottlenecks and manual effort.
- Challenge current processes and redesign them from first principles using AI, automation and human-in-the-loop models.
- Convert ambiguous business problems into clear workflows, experiments and measurable outcomes.
- Personally build early prototypes and co-build production solutions with product and engineering teams.
- Drive solutions through prototype → pilot → production → adoption , rather than stopping at PoC.
- Integrate AI agents with Delhivery’s operational systems, APIs, data and workflows.
- Measure impact through productivity, cost reduction, SLA improvement, quality,



revenue or customer experience.
- Turn successful patterns into reusable platforms, components and playbooks.

You do not wait for a detailed PRD, dedicated team or perfectly defined problem. You find important problems, bring the right people together, create the first working version and drive the initiative until it becomes part of how the business operates.

You are comfortable moving between:

Business process → AI workflow → working prototype → production system → user adoption → business outcome

What we are looking for

- 4+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience that includes customer-facing work
- Strong engineering fundamentals across APIs, databases, distributed systems and enterprise integrations.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, tool calling, RAG, context engineering and AI evaluation.
- Ability to personally prototype using Python, Typescript or similar technologies.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate with limited structure.
- Robust instinct for simplifying processes and getting things shipped.
- Bias toward experimentation, execution and measurable outcomes.

Experience in logistics, supply chain, workflow systems, voice AI or agentic systems is a strong advantage.
