We are looking for a skilled and innovative Toothpaste Formulator to join our R&D; team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling toothpaste and oral-care formulations from laboratory trials through commercial production.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of toothpaste ingredients, formulation technology, stability testing, product performance evaluation, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize toothpaste formulations for different product categories and consumer requirements.
- Conduct laboratory trials, prototype development, and formulation modifications.
- Evaluate key product parameters including viscosity, pH, consistency, foaming, spreadability, cleaning performance, appearance, flavor, and stability.
- Conduct accelerated and real-time stability studies and analyze results.
- Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Production, Procurement, Packaging, and Regulatory teams.
- Support scale-up from laboratory batches to pilot and commercial production.
- Prepare and maintain formulation records, specifications, test reports, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate new raw materials and alternative ingredients for cost optimization and product improvement.
- Support product benchmarking and competitive product analysis.
- Ensure formulations comply with applicable quality, safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.




- Participate in new product development and continuous improvement projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant formulation experience, preferably in toothpaste/oral care, cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG.
- Good understanding of toothpaste formulation principles and raw-material functionality.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory formulation and product development.
- Knowledge of stability testing, scale-up, and manufacturing processes.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with fluoride and non-fluoride toothpaste formulations.
- Knowledge of herbal/natural, whitening, sensitive-teeth, anti-cavity, and specialized oral-care formulations.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and product specifications.
- Experience with formulation software, laboratory equipment, and R&D; documentation.
- Ability to independently manage formulation projects from concept to commercialization.
