JD Financial Operations (FinOps)

Seeking an experienced Finance Associate / Senior Associate to sit at the intersection of finance, accounting, and commercial strategy. Drive automated tech enabled reporting processes, drive continuous improvements initiatives with process control areas and work closely with BU Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:

- Support budget and the rolling forecast development, adding insights to drive tighter forecasting and decision-making

- Provide variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. prior period) narrative on the why behind the numbers, not just the what

- Prepare and publish daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and dashboards

- Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities

1. Accounting Support:

- Work alongside existing bookkeepers to assist with the monthly close - supporting reconciliations, tie-outs, and flagging discrepancies

- Help maintain data integrity and consistent definitions across our finance and operating systems

1. Business Partnering:

- Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Product Management

- Support ad hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives

1. Process Improvement:





- Drive automation and standardization of reporting processes

- Participate in finance transformation and continuous improvement projects

- Improve reporting accuracy and reduce manual effort using digital tools

Candidate Profile:

- Qualified CA (ideally) / MBA with 4-6 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;), Commercial Finance, Business Finance, or Financial Reporting. Prior or current Senior Accountant experience at a Big 6 accounting firm is a robust plus

- Solid accounting foundation - comfortable with GAAP fundamentals, the month-end close, and reading a full set of financials

- Experience supporting global or regional finance / business teams

- Strong Excel and business modeling skills

- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks

- AI fluency actively use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) in day-to-day finance work: drafting analysis and commentary, building and debugging models and formulas, cleaning and reconciling data, and speeding up recurring reporting

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to multi-task and complete projects with limited supervision
