Position:ERP Data Migration Analyst

Key responsibilities

Data extraction and consolidation

- Extract masters (ledgers, vendors, customers, employees, items, cost centres) and open

balances from Tally, across multiple companies and years.

- Bring data from Tally and other sources together into one standard dataset, using advanced

Excel and AI-assisted tools.

Master data cleanup

- Standardise names, addresses, GSTIN, PAN, bank details and classifications.

- Mark records Active or Inactive, using transaction history and the agreed cut-off rules.

- Find and resolve duplicates using key fields: PAN, GSTIN, bank account number and name.

KYC validation

- Verify vendors, customers and employees through company-subscribed Government or

aggregator APIs, covering PAN, GSTIN and bank account checks.

- Log mismatches and failed verifications, and follow them up with the relevant teams until they

are closed.

Migration readiness





- Map cleaned data to the ERP migration templates and fill them in.

- Reconcile against Tally using record counts, balances and control totals.

- Hand over signed-off data files for migration, with a log of cleanup decisions and exceptions for

audit.

Qualifications and experience

- Education: B.Com, BFM or an equivalent finance degree

- Experience: 35 years handling accounting data, including hands-on work in Tally

- Experience with a previous data migration or system changeover is preferred

Skills

Required

- Tally (Prime / ERP 9): fluent with masters and vouchers, and with exporting data

- Advanced Excel: Power Query, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, pivots, data validation, fuzzy matching

- Working knowledge of accounting masters and the basics of GST and TDS

- Accurate and methodical when reconciling data

Valuable to have

- Familiar with API-based KYC or verification platforms
