About the Role

Shivalik Silica is replacing paper registers, Excel sheets and legacy forms across its mines and plant with a single ERPNext system. The aim is that every tonne, hour, litre and person is recorded once and reconciles with the books. You will be the technical owner of this deployment: its architecture, its code, its quality, and its adoption. You'll work with an in-house junior ERP executive and an external technical consultant.

What You Will Do

Build and architect (about 60–70% of the role)

- Design and build custom DocTypes, workflows, client and server scripts, Jinja print formats, script reports and dashboards, extending standard ERPNext doctypes rather than duplicating them.
- Build and maintain custom Frappe apps with proper version control, deployment and upgrade practices.
- Implement configurable role-based permissions (by company, site, doctype, field and workflow state) and multi-level approvals.
- Build integrations over REST APIs and the database, including weighbridge software and permit systems (read-only), and plan for IoT and biometric data feeds.
- Design for ground realities: shift-based operations (08:00–08:00), late entries, nil submissions, and unreliable connectivity at sites.

Own the programme

- Own the module roadmap, architecture and phasing across weighbridge, hourly logs, stock generation, security, HRMS, accounts and reporting.
- Turn business processes into clear functional and technical specifications.




- Review and audit the work of the external consultant and hold them to standards. Own the code, configuration and documentation, and make sure source code is delivered.
- Plan and run UAT, go-lives, data migration and version upgrades.

Govern and report

- Enforce master data discipline: one master per real-world entity.
- Build management MIS: reports, dashboards and Frappe Insights views (cost per tonne, fuel and energy per tonne, dispatch reconciliation).
- Maintain technical documentation and mentor the junior ERP executive.

Must Have

- 5+ years of hands-on Frappe/ERPNext development, with at least one or two end-to-end implementations that went live and are still in use.
- Strong Python, JavaScript, SQL (MariaDB), Jinja and REST API skills.
- Solid command of Bench, site and server management, backups, and permissions.
- Working knowledge of stock, purchase, sales and accounts in ERPNext, and manufacturing, mining or process-industry workflows.
- Ability to write transparent specs and review other people's code.
- Fluent in English and Hindi.

Good to Have

- Mining, quarrying, crushing or other process-industry experience.
- Frappe Cloud or self-hosted deployment experience (Docker, Nginx, Linux).
- Weighbridge, IoT or hardware integration experience.
- Frappe Insights, Frappe certification, or open-source contributions.

Qualification Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering or a related field. Strong demonstrable work matters more than the degree.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
