- The position is fundamentally a hands-on Senior Developer role, not a pure Architect role. The candidate should nevertheless have an architectural mindset and be capable of independently assessing technical feasibility, proposing solutions, estimating effort, and developing solutions.
- SAP BTP is the primary skill, with particular emphasis on SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) and hands-on delivery experience. RPA is secondary rather than the main focus.
- Candidates should have strong experience with:

- API Management and Event Mesh

- SAP S/4HANA integration landscape

- RPA concepts and tools
- End-to-end automation solution development.
- S/4HANA hands-on development is not required. The candidate will collaborate with S/4HANA and integration teams. However, experience or understanding of ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation/migration is desirable because the automation solutions will support the S/4 transformation.
- The preferred automation approach is increasingly API/event-driven integration through BTP, rather than simply replacing existing Automation Anywhere bots with recent bots.
- RPA experience should not be restricted to Automation Anywhere. Relevant experience can include BPA bots, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or equivalent RPA technologies.
- Python,



Azure, Agentic/Generative AI, and unstructured document/OCR processing are valuable additional capabilities.
- Power BI and Power Automate should not be recruitment priorities, despite appearing in the JD, since they are not central to the team's current requirements.

Expected Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be able to:

1. Independently understand a business automation problem.
2. Identify appropriate SAP BTP capabilities, APIs, accelerators or reusable components.
3. Design and hands-on develop the solution.
4. Work closely with S/4HANA, integration and platform teams.
5. Build proofs of concept and evolve them toward production solutions.
6. Challenge proposed approaches and recommend alternatives where technically appropriate.
7. Eventually guide and oversee third-party/external developers.
8. Produce clear technical documentation and communicate technical risks, estimates and mitigation plans effectively.
