Enterprise Sales & Solutions Manager – Own the Full Commercial Cycle in Global Commodity Markets

Travel: Domestic and international travel as required The Mission

Novaex.ai is building an AI-powered operating system for commodity businesses, with Pulse supporting market intelligence and hedging decisions, and Ledger managing positions, reconciliation, and controls. We are seeking a consultative seller who can translate complex technology into business value and own the entire customer journey—from discovery and closing to implementation, adoption, and early success.

Your Mandate

Reporting to the Founding Team, you will build a repeatable sales motion across India and selected international markets — helping each prospect diagnose whether their primary need is Novaex Pulse, Novaex Ledger, or an integrated deployment, then guiding the account from first conversation to go-live. Your work directly drives new revenue and high-quality customer acquisition, pipeline quality and forecasting discipline, successful implementation and adoption, and the customer and market intelligence that sharpens our products and go-to-market strategy.

Your core responsibilities will include:

- Territory & Account Development: Own the target-account strategy across India and selected international markets — commodity traders, manufacturers, processors, producers, importers/exporters, procurement teams, hedging desks, risk functions, and finance leaders. Generate opportunities through industry relationships, targeted outbound, referrals, trade associations, conferences, ecosystem partners, and founder-led introductions; build account plans, map the buying committee, and identify champions and decision-makers across commercial, technical, operational, and compliance stakeholders — building a sales engine that leverages your network without depending on it alone.
- Consultative Discovery & Solution Selling: Run deep discovery before pitching — understand how each prospect prices physical commodities, measures exposure, makes hedge decisions, tracks positions, manages confirmations and settlements, and reconciles its book. Ask informed questions about benchmarks, premiums/discounts, basis risk, FX exposure, hedge ratios, mark-to-market, and exchange contracts; diagnose whether Pulse, Ledger, or a combined deployment solves the most expensive workflow; translate capabilities into clear business outcomes for each stakeholder — trader, procurement head, risk manager, CFO, owner, operations, or technology team; then lead tailored demos and solution workshops with product, research, and technology colleagues, build a credible business case, and own proposals, negotiation, procurement, and closure — without overpromising.
- Full-Cycle Ownership & CRM Discipline: Own the complete cycle — prospecting, qualification, discovery, demonstration, solution design, proposal, negotiation, contracting, collection coordination, and handover to implementation. Treat the CRM as the single source of truth, with every stakeholder, requirement, objection, document, next step, owner, date, stage, probability, and forecast recorded promptly and accurately. Maintain a clean, evidence-based pipeline with realistic close dates and no shadow pipelines in personal spreadsheets or message threads; follow agreed sales cadences,

stage-exit criteria, and review rhythms; and track conversion rates, cycle length, and win/loss reasons to keep improving the process.
- Implementation & Customer Activation: Convert sales discovery into a practical implementation plan — scope, users, workflows, metals/products, exchanges, data inputs, reports, permissions, integrations, timelines, and measurable success criteria. Coordinate closely with product, research, engineering, operations, and leadership so commitments made during the sale are understood, feasible, and delivered; support onboarding, data and workflow validation, user training, UAT, and go-live; and remain the commercial point of accountability until the customer is live, using the product meaningfully, and cleanly handed over to ongoing support. Listen patiently to user feedback, separate genuine product gaps from training or process issues, and drive the right resolution without becoming defensive or overpromising.
- Relationship Management, Retention & Expansion: Build trusted, long-term relationships with multiple stakeholders in every account rather than relying on a single contact. Run structured customer reviews to confirm value delivered, adoption levels, and open issues; identify expansion across Pulse, Ledger, additional teams, metals, entities, locations, and geographies; and earn referrals, testimonials, and reference customers by delivering reliably before, during, and after the sale. Stay patient through long enterprise decision cycles and implementation friction while maintaining urgency, follow-through, and commercial accountability.
- Market Presence & Product Feedback: Maintain a working understanding of commodity-market developments, especially base metals across LME, MCX, COMEX, and SHFE, and track competing platforms, pricing objections, implementation barriers, and shifting buyer priorities. Bring structured feedback to product and leadership — what customers ask for, what blocks deals, what creates value, and which features should not be built merely because one prospect requested them — and represent Novaex credibly at industry events, customer meetings, webinars, and partner conversations.

What You Bring

We are seeking a consultative closer with the discipline of an operator and the curiosity of a market participant. The ideal profile includes:

Must-Have Capabilities

- Enterprise Closing Track Record: A demonstrated record of selling complex B2B solutions and moving opportunities to closure — typically 3+ years in enterprise, solution, technology, fintech, analytics, market-data, risk, ERP, or CTRM/ETRM sales, or an equivalent track record as a founder, entrepreneur, or business operator.
- Consultative Communication: You build rapport with senior stakeholders, ask precise questions, listen without interrupting, understand what is not being said, and communicate clearly in business English.
- Commodity & Hedging Literacy:

Working knowledge of physical versus futures exposure, exchange contracts, margins, settlement, mark-to-market, basis, spreads, and FX risk. Base-metals familiarity is strongly preferred.
- Product Fluency: Enough technical fluency to understand a SaaS/data product, learn workflows quickly, work with product and engineering teams, and explain features without hiding behind jargon.
- Pipeline & CRM Discipline: Strict CRM hygiene, reliable follow-up, and comfort being measured on pipeline quality, forecast accuracy, revenue, collections, implementation progress, and adoption.
- Post-Sale Coordination: Experience coordinating onboarding or implementation after a sale, including requirements capture, stakeholder alignment, training, issue management, and go-live follow-through.
- Startup Ownership: A hands-on startup mindset — high ownership, resilience, commercial hunger, honesty about product capability, and willingness to do the detailed work behind a successful sale.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel and work across domestic and international time zones when the account or sales cycle requires it.

Strong Advantages

- An Active Base-Metals Network: Relationships across base-metals traders, manufacturers, processors, producers, importers/exporters, brokers, exchanges, banks, procurement leaders, hedging desks, risk teams, or CFO/finance functions. Connections help, but they do not substitute for sales ability or execution discipline.
- Relevant Buyer Experience: Selling to commodity, treasury, procurement, trading, risk, or finance users, with comfort navigating long enterprise buying cycles and multi-stakeholder decisions.
- Cross-Border Experience: A background in international business development, channel sales, strategic partnerships, or cross-border enterprise accounts.
- Builder's Background: A founder, inventor, or operator history where you commercialized a technical product, built a business, or sold something that initially had no established category.
- CRM Tooling: Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Freshsales, or equivalent systems.

How Success Will Be Measured

- Revenue & collections: Closed revenue and collections against agreed targets, with healthy deal quality and commercial terms.
- Pipeline & forecasting: Qualified pipeline coverage, stage conversion, sales-cycle progress, and forecast accuracy.
- CRM & process discipline: CRM completeness, next-step discipline, follow-up quality, and reliable reporting.
- Activation & time-to-value: Implementation readiness, on-time activation, time-to-value, and meaningful product usage after go-live.
- Retention & expansion: Customer retention, expansion, referrals, and the quality of relationships built across each account.
- Product & market feedback: The usefulness of the customer and market intelligence you contribute to product and go-to-market decisions.

The Prospect

This is a high-impact role working directly with the Founding Team to drive global revenue, shape customer experience, and build Novaex’s commercial engine. Competitive fixed pay is paired with significant performance-linked upside for a consultative seller who listens deeply, sells honestly, owns implementation, and delivers measurable outcomes.
