About the Role

We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on Electrical Engineer specializing in PCB design, embedded electronics, and electromechanical systems.

This is not a facilities, construction, or building-power electrical engineering position.

The engineer will be responsible for developing custom electronic systems for automation, machinery, robotics, sensing, motor control, and product-development projects.

You should be comfortable taking an idea from initial requirements through:

System Architecture → Circuit Design → Schematic → PCB Layout → Fabrication → Board Bring-Up → Testing → Debugging → Production

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys building things and solving practical engineering problems. You will work closely with mechanical and software engineers to create complete working machines and electronic systems.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field OR equivalent demonstrated professional experience.
- Strong PCB design experience.
- Experience creating both schematics and PCB layouts.
- Understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience working with microcontrollers or embedded processors.
- Experience integrating sensors and other electronic peripherals.
- Solid board-level troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working hands-on in an electronics lab.
- Ability to read and interpret component datasheets.
- Experience selecting components based on electrical, mechanical, availability, and cost requirements.
- Strong understanding of grounding, power distribution, circuit protection, and PCB layout fundamentals.
- Ability to independently take an electrical project from requirements through functional prototype.

Preferred Qualifications Strong candidates may have experience with some of the following:

- Altium Designer
- KiCad
- OrCAD / Allegro
- STM32
- ESP32
- Embedded C/C++
- Python
- Motor-control electronics
- Robotics
- Industrial automation
- Mechatronics
- Machine vision
- Camera interfaces
- Ethernet-connected embedded systems
- CAN bus
- RS-485 / Modbus
- Raspberry Pi
- Embedded Linux
- PCB assembly vendors
- Wiring harness design
- Automated test fixtures
- Production test systems

Altium experience is strongly preferred, but engineers with significant experience in another skilled PCB design platform are encouraged to apply. Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a builder, not someone who has only performed theoretical design or project management.

You should enjoy receiving a problem such as:

“We need to control six motors, monitor several sensors, operate lighting, communicate with a computer, and detect faults.”

…and then determining how to engineer the complete electrical solution.

That might involve choosing the microcontroller, designing the PCB, selecting motor drivers, defining the communication architecture, creating the wiring harnesses, programming basic firmware, ordering the board, bringing it up on the bench, debugging it, and integrating it into the finished machine.

We value engineers who are curious, resourceful, and comfortable solving problems that do not already have a predefined solution.

Examples of Relevant Backgrounds

Candidates with experience in any of the following may be particularly well suited:

- Robotics
- Industrial automation
- Custom machinery
- Embedded products
- Consumer electronics
- Automotive electronics
- Test equipment
- Scientific instruments
- IoT products
- Motion-control systems
- Manufacturing equipment
- Mechatronics
- Machine vision

Prior robotics experience is not required if you have robust hands-on electronics and PCB design experience. Portfolio Required / Strongly Preferred

We want to see what you have actually built.

When applying, please provide examples of 2–3 electronic or PCB projects in which you personally had significant design responsibility.

For each project, briefly describe:

- What the product or system did
- What you personally designed
- PCB design software used
- Microcontroller or processor used
- Number of PCB layers, if applicable
- Whether you created the schematic
- Whether you performed PCB layout
- Whether you wrote or modified firmware
- Whether the board was fabricated
- Whether you personally performed board bring-up and debugging
- Whether the design entered production
