Design Engineer – Oil & Gas / Offshore & Onshore Projects

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Designer with 1–2 years of experience and strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing GA drawings, fabrication drawings, installation details, and accurate MTOs for offshore/onshore projects.

Candidates with experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, FPSO, Offshore Platforms, or EPC projects will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 2D design and drafting drawings using AutoCAD.
- Design modular supports, secondary steel, pipe supports (standard and special), cable tray/ladder supports, and HVAC supports as per project specifications and standards.
- Prepare accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Prepare fabrication drawings and installation/detail drawings.
- Prepare accurate Material Take-Offs (MTOs) based on drawings and project requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and engineering requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering and other disciplines to resolve design and drawing-related issues.




- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission.
- Work effectively under tight project schedules and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Designer/Draftsman.
- Robust proficiency in AutoCAD 2D – Mandatory.
- Good understanding of GA drawings, fabrication drawings, support drawings, and MTO preparation.
- Knowledge of structural/pipe support design and detailing is preferred.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, FPSO, Offshore Platform, or EPC projects is an added advantage.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Positive communication and interdisciplinary coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates who have hands-on experience with AutoCAD 2D and Oil & Gas/Offshore/Onshore projects, along with knowledge of supports, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and MTOs, are encouraged to apply.
